RTR (ready-to-run) rc cars is a great way to go from box to track in the shortest time possible. Usually it doesn't take much more than 30-60 minutes of preparation before you're ready to take your new car for a spin. RTR usually is the preferred choice of beginners and those who don't want to deal with maintenance and repairs themselves.
RTR cars are often a bit more expensive than kits but they'll save you the time of building the car yourself, and after all, time is money you know..;)
But if you think you might have an affinity for building yourself, it really can be a fun and rewarding experience- so you might want to consider getting a kit
