What types of trucks are there?
These dust-soaked devils come in a variety of shapes and sizes. From bouncing buggies to monstrous big wheel trucks; RC Trucks are designed especially for off-roading and will tear up anything that even resembles a yard. They can ofcourse be driven on-road as well, but that's not what they were really intended for
But let's have a look, shall we - below are the three main types of RC trucks. They are all made particularly for tough off-road terrain, but each has type has different qualities:
RC Monster trucks
Monstrous backyard bashers.
RC Stadium trucks
These aren't as popular as buggies or monsters, but if you want to be a real rc enthusiast you've got to learn to love them.
RC Buggies
Furious little devils! Tearing up your back yard (or your neighbor's front yard - shame on you!) has never been easier.
Electric or gas powered?
The big question: do you want an electric rc truck or a gas powered rc truck?
Electric remote control trucks
Electric RC trucks are often preferred by beginners. If you're just starting out or shopping for a present for someone who has no prior experience I recommend getting a ready-to-run electric RC truck.
Remote control gas trucks
Nitro RC trucks require more maintenance than electric trucks, but they're faster.
Build it yourself or buy one that is ready to run (RTR)? You'll also need to decide if you want a build-it-yourself kit or a truck that is ready-to-run. Many of the popular models come in both ready to run versions (RTR) and as unassembled kits.
Ready to Run - Ready in minutes
Radio Control Kits - Build a truck yourself
