RC Monster trucks are by far the most agile of the off-road vehicles. Electric Monster trucks will run up to 15mph which isn't quite as fast as buggies or stadium trucks, but I think you'll find that it is enough, especially if you're just starting out - and also, they're really not meant to go fast, their strength is off-road, which I'm sure you'll discover if you've never driven one before. Nitro monster trucks on the other hand run up to 40 mph and have extremely powerful engines.

A very popular monster truck is the ready-to-run electric E-Maxx by Traxxas. This is a great electric truck for beginners - here is what this monster looks like:

Monster trucks come in both 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive. The 2 wheel-drive trucks are inexpensive, but naturally they don't have quite the same level of raw power as the 4 wheel drive.
