My first RC airplane - what to buy?
What is important for a beginner is to find the appropriate plane and there are a few questions you need to ask yourself before "taking off". First question is what kind of time and work do you want to put into building your airplane? Apart from actually building the airplane from scratch yourself there are a number of possibilities making your job easier. Model airplanes can be bought in kits and they usually come in three different flavors:
